Summer Blessings
One summer in Teton Valley, Idaho, a grizzly bear began visiting a berry tree near my home. Over the weeks that followed, I watched him move quietly through the aspens and listened to him feeding outside my window at night.
I couldn’t stop thinking about him.
That encounter became Summer Blessings, a painting inspired by the quiet presence of a wild grizzly moving through the forest at the height of berry season. The soft light, pale aspens, and rich earth tones reflect the atmosphere of those evenings and the lasting impression the bear left on my imagination.
